PodTracker Guides
Affiliate disclosure
How PodTracker labels product links, when the publication may earn a commission, and what click measurement does not collect.
Some PodTracker product links may become affiliate links. When a paid relationship is active, the guide identifies it before the first paid link and labels the destination button as a paid link. If a purchase qualifies, PodTracker may receive a commission at no extra cost to the reader.
Amazon links
Amazon product links go directly to Amazon. PodTracker does not use an intermediate redirect for newly generated Amazon links. The publishing system adds Associate tracking only when a real tag is configured. It also adds the required Associate statement only while that configuration is active; an untagged recommendation is not described as a paid link.
Prices, availability, ratings, and seller terms can change at the destination. PodTracker does not copy or cache that information in a guide. Readers should verify the item, edition, condition, seller, and current terms before making a decision.
Other recommendations
Some recommendations may be ordinary links with no commission. Trackformance-owned products are identified as our own rather than presented as independent affiliate offers. Commercial status never changes the editorial requirement that a guide provide useful explanation without the link.
Click measurement
When supported by the browser, clicking a product card can send a small background event to PodTracker. The destination opens immediately and never waits for measurement. The event contains the product identifier, local page path, placement, transport type, and a random deduplication identifier. It does not include a destination URL, email address, cookie, full referrer, IP address stored by the event record, or a purchaser identity.
Amazon and other vendors maintain their own reporting and policies. Their conversion reports, not PodTracker’s approximate click count, determine whether a purchase qualifies for a commission.
